The Season, Measured
Every headline number from the Lions' 2025/26 United Rugby Championship campaign, on one page.
Breaking the Line
On every measure of getting through a defence, the Lions were among the best two or three sides in the United Rugby Championship.
Two Thousand Five Hundred Tackles
The defensive record of a side that attacked more than it defended, and paid for it in the moments that mattered.
Ninety-Three and Eighty-Three
The scrum was one of the most reliable in the competition. The lineout was not, and both numbers matter more in Europe than they did in the URC.
Thirteen Thousand Nine Hundred Metres
The Lions kicked 486 times from hand and gained nearly fourteen thousand metres doing it. What they did not do was kick for goal very often.
Seventy-Five Tries
Who scored them, and what the distribution says about the side.
First Caps and Landmarks
A season of firsts — for the club, and for a group of players who had not been there before.
