Season Ahead 2026/27
We Belong Here
The Lions did not sneak into the Investec Champions Cup. They earned it by winning a trophy and reaching a quarter-final — and they are not going to Europe to make up the numbers.
A Place Earned, Not Inherited
Toulouse. Saracens. La Rochelle. Exeter Chiefs. Connacht. All confirmed, all fixtured — and not one of them won a European trophy last season.
LIONS FIXTURES 2026/27
Every Lions fixture across the Vodacom United Rugby Championship and the Investec Champions Cup, with South African kick-off times, taken from the club's official fixture release.
Loftus Bites Back
Two from two became two from three in twenty-nine first-half minutes at Loftus Versfeld.
Lions, the URC and Europe: A Fan’s Map to Rugby’s Competitions
For Lions supporters, the rugby calendar can feel like three tournaments wearing the same jersey. The United Rugby Championship (URC) is the league that pays the bills and builds the squad; the Investec Champions Cup is the elite European prize; and the EPCR Challenge Cup is the second continental route. Understanding how they connect is essential to judging every Lions result.
