Boeta Chamberlain

Fly-half / fullback

Born 22 February 1999
Paarl Boys’ High School

A fly-half who kicks drop goals as a matter of policy rather than desperation. Chamberlain landed one on his Currie Cup debut for the Sharks against the Golden Lions in 2019, and three in a single afternoon against the Ospreys two years later. He spent five seasons in Durban, won the Challenge Cup with the Sharks in 2024 — the first European trophy taken by a South African franchise — then had a season at the Bulls and another at Newcastle before the Lions brought him home in July 2026. He started the Leinster opener at fullback and put Erich Cronje over for his second try, then scored himself against the Ospreys a week later. A ten arriving at a club that already has Chris Smith and Sam Francis needs to answer a question early. He did.
