A tall, versatile forward trusted with starting roles rather than eased in. Delport made three starts and 181 minutes in the 2025/26 URC season, contributing fifteen metres from carries with nine crossing the gain line. At close to two metres he is a valuable lineout option, and his mobility lets him cover the back row. At twenty-three, being selected to start rather than to finish says a good deal about how the coaching group rates him.
