The captain, and the first man to lead the Lions to URC silverware. Horn debuted in 2020 and has sixty-one franchise caps and eighteen at domestic level. A former Junior Springbok vice-captain, he led the side that won the South African Shield, reached a first URC quarter-final and qualified for the Investec Champions Cup. His tackle profile is unusually well documented — 149 tackles inside the first three metres, thirty-three at leg height, twenty-one at lower torso — the record of a No. 8 who does the unglamorous work. He continues as captain into 2026/27.
