An Olympic bronze medallist. Pretorius was part of the Blitzboks side that finished third at the Paris Games in 2024, and he plays his fifteens rugby in the Lions back row. In 2025/26 he made nineteen carries for 144 metres, thirty-four tackles at 81 per cent success and won seven turnovers. The sevens background shows in his pace, handling and breakdown work, and the combination of Olympic experience and URC rugby makes him genuinely unusual in this squad.
