An experienced prop who can cover both sides of the scrum, previously with the Cheetahs. Van Vuuren's flexibility is genuinely useful to a coaching group selecting across three competitions, and as one of the senior members of the front-row group he carries a mentoring role alongside Juan Schoeman. Significant appearance record for the Lions across multiple seasons.
