At 202 centimetres, the tallest player in the squad and a specialist lineout operator both as a jumper and as a disruptor of opposition ball. Nothnagel played two matches and 153 minutes for the Lions in 2025/26 and featured in the Challenge Cup campaign. His carrying numbers are modest by design — his job is the set piece and the tight phases, and with the lineout returning 83 per cent across the season his role in 2026/27 matters more than the appearance count suggests.
