DHL STORMERS 34-27 LIONS · HOLLYWOODBETS SHARKS 22-23 LIONS

Seven points, in Cape Town, against a side that would finish third and reach a semi-final. A good afternoon by the standards of the away record at that point, and not enough.

One point, in Durban, in a derby. The narrowest win of the season and arguably the most valuable single log point collected — without it the Shield arithmetic in February reads entirely differently.
