LIONS 42-33 LYON · PERPIGNAN 20-20 LIONS

The one win of the European campaign, and an emphatic one. Forty-two points against a Top 14 side who would lose all four of their pool matches. It kept qualification alive into the final round.

Winner takes all, and the Lions led 20-10 entering the final quarter. They drew. Perpignan finished level on eight log points and went through on a points difference seven better. Fifteen minutes of game management in the south of France decided the campaign.
